FINDING BALANCE IN THE ABSENCE OF SYMMETRY, WITH BOTH MASCULINE AND FEMININE ELEMENTS, THIS PIECE COMBINES A SPACIOUS REAR WITH A HOLLOWED BOTTOM, WITH AN ELONGATED FRONT DESIGN THAT CONVEYS LIGHTNESS AND AIRINESS. VOLUMES THAT HARMONIOUSLY COMBINE BOTH FLUID FORMS AND PRONOUNCED RECTANGULAR ANGLES
“RULES ARE BOUNDARIES. I am creating objects that don’t prioritize form over function. For my objects, the form is becoming the main function. Prioritizing costs, build time, functionality and simplicity, at the expense of creativity and emotional resonance, is the antithesis of what I strive to achieve as an artist.“
ONEERO TABLE, IS A ~500KG SCULPTURAL TABLE THAT TRANSCENDS THE BOUNDARIES OF TRADITIONAL DESIGN. WE ARE VENTURING IN THE LAND OF THE ARTS, OF DREAM (ONEIROS = DREAM IN GREEK MYTHOLOGY).
REJECTING MODERN UNIFORMITY
“I sought to challenge the sterile, uniform look of modernism characterized by muted colors with oversimplified lines, mass-produces and easily discardable. Instead, I embrace striking colors, powerful shapes and surprising lines, aiming to provoke aesthetics and challenge modern design.”

HOW OFTEN DO WE PASS DOWN A CHAIR, A TABLE, OR ANY OTHER LASTING OBJECTS TO THOSE WHO COME AFTER US?

THE PURPOSELY ABSENCE OF PERFECTLY STRAIGHT LINE, INCLUDING THE TOP OF THE SCULPTURAL TABLE, WAS DESIGN TO HAVE AN EXTREMELY SUBTLE WAVY UNDULATION, MIMICKING FLUIDS AND NATURE.
THE DUAL ZONES OF ILLUMINATION DIFFERENTIATE THE COASTAL NIGHTSCAPE, SEAMLESSLY BLENDING THE REALMS OF LAND AND SEA. WITH APPROXIMATELY 1000 STRANDS OF OPTIC FIBRES WOVEN INTO ITS STRUCTURE, THE RGB ILLUMINATION IS SHOWCASING A VAST SPECTRUM OF COLORS.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
In the current context focused on excessive and unsustainable consumerism, the 21st Century welcomes us with a Darwinian transformation for both men and nature. Evolution which leads to the development of a synthetic man living in a synthetic nature. Heavy topics as regeneration and sustainable environment are thrown into the arms of the future generations, that have not been born yet.
Thus, the artist’s creations highlight the synthesis through alternative materials used, such as: synthetic marble (resin and marble dust), synthetic resin (Plexiglass), synthetic cement (Jesmonite), charcoal, wood, and so on. His works have a powerful conceptual plasticity but also physical plasticity, a concept that can be interpreted as modern works of the 21st Century.
