Torii: Japanese Style Bench

Description

INSPIRED BY THE GRANDEUR OF TORII GATES, THE JAPANESE MYTHOLOGICAL STRUCTURE, THE TORII BENCH MIRRORS ITS SIBLING STOOL’S BOLD BEAM STRUCTURE AND CULTURALLY SIGNIFICANT ROOF SILHOUETTE OF THIS TRADITIONAL ARCHITECTURE. THE DESIGN FEATURES TWO ARCHED LEGS CONNECTED BY BEAMS THAT FORM A SPACIOUS SEAT, COMFORTABLY ACCOMMODATING TWO.

SOLIDLY ROOTED WITH ITS MONOLITHIC PRESENCE, THE TORII BENCH IS CONSTRUCTED FROM TWO ARCHED LEGS JOINED BY BEAMS THAT FORM THE SEAT. THE METICULOUSLY LINSEED-OIL-STAINED WOOD SURFACE BEAUTIFULLY REVEALS DARKENED WOOD VEINS, REMINISCENT OF INTRICATE BRUSHSTROKES. AGED BRASS GILDS EACH ROOF END, ADDING A TOUCH OF SHIMMER THAT EVOKES A GUIDING LIGHT.

MATERIALS: ASH WOOD AND BRASS

DIMENSIONS: 158CM / 49CM / H 50CM
