In a constant battle between figurative and abstract, the artist of Hungarian / Romanian origin continues his in-depth research related to the origin of life through the manipulation of materials.

Matyas is not tied to traditional materials such as clay, nor to figuration or abstraction, but instead is deeply involved in the exploration of matter and of new artistic practices. In his artistic vision, Matyas chose “the power of will” symbolically represented by different shapes and textures, colors and gradients. The “power of will” has so many shapes and forms, thus cannot be contained by only one of its variants.

His unique style and daring forms, certainly set the artist to be seen as existing somewhere between the traditional disciplines in arts and modern interpretations of sculpture.
